Two reliable ways to choose your size
Rather than relying only on your usual size (which varies from brand to brand), two methods give much better results:
- Measure a garment you already own — the most reliable method, explained below.
- Compare with the product's size chart — always shown on each product page, with precise measurements for that specific item.
How to measure a garment flat
Take a sweater or hoodie you already own and that fits well, lay it flat on a hard surface, and measure:
- Chest: from armpit to armpit, then double it for the full circumference.
- Length: from the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom hem.
- Sleeve length: from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff.
Then compare these measurements with the size chart shown on the product page you're interested in — it's the most accurate comparison you can make before receiving the piece.
Fitted or oversized: how to choose
The choice mostly comes down to the look you're going for, not a fixed rule:
- For a fully oversized look: stick with your usual size, or even size up if you like a very loose effect.
- For a closer fit: size down from what you'd normally wear in a standard cut.
When in doubt, a slightly looser fit is almost always more versatile than one that's too tight — it layers better and works for more occasions.
What about caps and accessories?
